core decision was to refresh Nimax's dark theme—opening it up toward a lighter, more technological future, and updating the color palette. Nimax's own groundwork became the foundation, including their base of 3D illustrations, the signature move carried into the new vibe. The dark base gave way to a light one, with vivid mint as the primary color and purple as a secondary accent, paired with the TT Hoves typeface. Aggressive caps were dropped from headlines, graphic tags were simplified, and large rounded shapes softened the system—while sharpness stayed where it holds the character: typography, dividing lines, type shifts. The system made it to physical objects too, with several merch items, including tote bags, actually shipping. Banner carousels now feature banners the Nimax team built on their own, without me, but within the style that was set—proof of how it kept living on. foundation wasn't postcard Petersburg. It was courtyard Petersburg—bridges, sunsets, the feel of the film Piter FM. No Bronze Horseman, no military symbols. Around that, we built a fictional city: Saint Stickerburg, with a cathedral on its main square and a legend of its own. From that image came the mark: a fortress silhouette, a cathedral's blueprint, a sense of the sacred, fused into one imprint—like a master's stamp. The wordmark runs on STIX Two Text, an antique serif, hand-refined to match the mark's character. The shape of courtyard tiles—an underground symbol of Petersburg's gateways—carries into the mark's inverse version and into info-plates across the identity. Mystical ornaments and illustrations add the city's poetic edge. The palette stays monochrome, the color of a rainy city, lifted by a yellow accent: the color of Petersburg's courtyards and facades. The result isn't a logo. It's a seal at the crossing of Peter the Great's era, Tsoi's era, and today. These pillars grew into a flexible system: modular typography, polyethylene as a material metaphor, scan-effect textures, progressive blur, a sticker system, and adaptable photo content. The brand book itself was designed as a fashion magazine—a format that matches Valera's own vibe—so the guidelines read like an editorial, not a manual. The system turned out so clear that for his own birthday, Valera assembled the banners and laid out the posts himself, using our templates, without a designer.
